Magnesium is a HUGE deal and plays an incredible role in your body. Unfortunately most of us are deficient (half the population though I would argue closer to 100%).
Magnesium deficiencies have been linked to things such as painful periods, poor sleep, constipation, and even miscarriages.
It’s no secret that we need magnesium for regulating blood pressure, mood regulation, preventing all PMS symptoms, and supporting a healthy pregnancy!
HOWEVER: what I don’t see being talked about enough is the need for sodium and potassium ALONGSIDE magnesium! Consider this a balancing act. If you take magnesium but you’re already depleted in sodium, it can make your symptoms worse!*
Some foods you can eat to replenish your sodium and potassium: spinach, bananas, coconut water, salmon, potatoes, and so much more!
*IMPORTANT: while I know many of you will ask what the proper dosage is, it’s all going to depend on YOUR BODY! We are all different with different body needs.
