 If you’re a fan of our best-selling whips, you’ll love our seasonal tallow body butter (maybe even more so).  Summertime brings sunshine and heat, which is great for the metabolism but not for our formulas that tend to melt in warmer temps.  Softer than a balm but denser than a whip, this non-greasy blend of tallow, jojoba, shea, mango, and beeswax holds its shape like a champ and absorbs almost instantly.  The touch of medicinal arrowroot helps soothe inflammation so your skin can bounce back quickly after a day outside.  

A little bit goes a long way! Body butter is twice the weight of tallow whip. Essentially, a 4 ounce butter is the same amount of product as an 8 ounce whip!

We originally purchased the whipped tallow, but after discovering that it was not doing what we hoped, we started to use it as a sunscreen instead under our eyes and nose, works pretty well for short time periods. We started using a balm by another brand which seemed to help our sons eczema a bit, after looking at the ingredients we tried to find one by Root Apothecary instead and we found the Bare Body Butter which works amazing!!! We had taken our son to Texas and the humidity cleared his eczema but when we returned to california it came back so much worse and his feet were bleeding. When the body butter came in the mail, we immediately started using it. After three consecutive days the scabs were clearing up and the redness of his rash practically disappeared. We applied the butter immediately after warm baths, and anytime after water exposure. When his skin was really bad, we applied more of the butter onto his skin but made to sure to cover his feet with socks and his legs with pants to help hold the moisture over night. We LOVE this product. Although the tallow whip is moisturizing, I feel as though the body butter really holds moisture longer and nourishes the skin.

The Best Tallow You’ll Ever Buy

This is the only tallow body butter I have had that is actually super high quality. I’ve tried many other brands and they’re either way too greasy or have a weird burnt smell. I live in a dry state and I swear by this body butter.
